Cinde and Dal Sanders from Amazing Attractions were recognized as Volunteers of the Year – 2020 for their commitment to unsheltered children and their families by Suzy Gardner, Founder of the DFW Birthday Brigade. The DFW Birthday Brigade was organized to provide birthday parties for unsheltered youth. Cinde and Dal Sanders volunteer several times every month to entertain at these birthday parties and teach the children magic. The magic shows and workshops provide kids with the kind of extraordinary fun that keeps kids engaged while they socially engage with other children. The Birthday Brigade Awards Ceremony usually takes place during their Fundraising Banquet in the Spring but because of the global pandemic, the award was delivered to them at their home. Even though the Sanders have not been allowed to visit the shelters during this time, the Cinde and Dal have included many of these unfortunate children in their online classes whenever the families could get online.
“We cannot thank Dal and Cinde enough for their support of our program. They drive from Dallas to Fort Worth several times a month to entertain children experiencing homelessness and providing endless smiles! The fun and excitement that they provide the kids helps to develop creativity and confidence in these disadvantaged children, something that is often lacking due to their circumstances.”
